I was accepted into the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Master of Applied Science Community Based Primary Health Care Programs in Global Health in August 2020. Per Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health website, “This curriculum prepares me to work in community development and health in low/middle income areas and developing communities across the world. This program is further equipping me with skills to design, implement and evaluate primary health care programs and to work with all communities. Using culturally sensitive, and ethical, ways to address their health concerns through community engagement and volunteerism," I am ready to start working/fellowshipping/interning in my field. A multiplicity of skills, knowledge, assessments, disaster/pandemic preparations and response, dynamic programming, contact tracing, field interviewing, budget narratives, medical practice, proposals, office decorum, project management, teaching/advising, strong organizational skills, and proven leadership are all qualities that I possess that adds my overall skill set.
