About (Summary)
My name is Kayla Duffie and I am a student attending the University of Delaware. Although I am a student at UD, I am completing my studies at the Delaware Technical and Community College in Georgetown, DE. I am currently a nursing major. I am taking my prerequisites for nursing school. In the fall of 2016, I will begin my nursing clinical at the Beebe School of Nursing. On the 26th of May, I will be graduating with my Associates in Arts and Sciences from the University of Delaware. As the time to begin my clinical, I grow more and more excited and nervous to start. Pursuing nursing as a profession is so important to me. I choose to nurse because I love to care for people. I believe I have the heart to reach out to people and be able to help them as the older generation can't care for themselves like they used to or to the best they can.

My desire is to pursue a job as a midwife. My honest passion is for babies. I find joy in welcoming an infant in the world, delivering a baby from its mother. I would like to open my own practice eventually, but when I first start out I will fall under the covering of someone else.

Hobbies
For seventeen years I found happiness in dancing. I am an active dancer for my church ministry, doing praise and worship. The dance team we have at church, S.A.L.T., (saving a life today), we perform in many different events. I enjoy going to different venues ministering, like every year in February we go to HOB elementary school and perform for the students for their black history program. We also go to Jesus Love Temple, church, and dance at their events. We even go to Wilmington and perform down at the riverside at their august quarterly. I am currently inactive at the dance center I used to go to until school got me busy. Every year we performed a recital. WE danced to songs composed of a theme.
