I have worked in many different jobs regarding communication, time management, and organization within retail and customer service. However, being around children and creating, exciting learning experiences that lead to educational childhood memories is what truly calls my attention and motivates my willpower to help others fulfill their dreams.
I am now a mother of two handsome boys ages 9 and 10. I am very family oriented and believe life should be fun. Through raising my children and succeeding in my educational degree plan, I have grasped a lot of experience and knowledge. I understand that every student is different and through differentiated instruction I believe I can help make an impact through scaffolding assignments and integrating technology awareness in learning gaps to reach as many children as possible. I am fully aware of the accommodations needed to help those students who may need a little more help than others. I believe Patience, Kindness, and Compassion are the fundamental building blocks needed in becoming a teacher. Teaching is one of the most essential leadership roles in our lives today and I want to share my knowledge and help the future generations in succeeding in their academic, language and life goals.
I have been in school since Fall of 2018 and I currently have 113 credit hours. I was nominated by the dean of my school for the National Society of Leadership and Success, as I work with them to brighten not only my future aspirations but help others in achieving their goals as well. I graduated in the top 10% of my class in the Summer of 2020 with an Associate of Arts in Teaching degree (AAT) Cum Laude. I am currently enrolled in the Teacher Preparation Program at the University of Houston-Downtown location, where I am working towards my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (B.A.I.S), majoring in EC-6 General Education with English Supplement, my current GPA is a 4.0
I Received the Outstanding Leadership Award through Texas Challenge Academy, after moving through the ranks of the Delta Platoon and becoming Platoon Sargent. Later I received the Presidential fitness award and was recognized by one of the United States three-star Generals. He granted me the honor of receiving a Texas Challenge Coin through the Texas Military Forces and Joint Counter Drug Task Force.
