Grad School Interests

I have not thought so much about where I would like to go for Grad school, seeing as I am a military wife I have no idea where I will be three years from now. However, I have had my eyes set on Yale University for quite some time and I truly believe that it does not necessarily matter about where I go, but how much work I put into the University that I do end up in. I also believe that any opportunity that is presented to me that will help me reach my goals, I will take it. I do wish to continue my path in Pharmaceutical and or drug discovery Chemistry.

Intended Job Path

I always loved science and chemistry growing up and want to pursue a career that I love so that it does not seem like a job. I want to be a lab scientist and work in the field of drug discovery in a lab setting. I find this so interesting and amazing how far we have come in medicine that we can manipulate and extract certain components in a molecule or substance that can help prevent diseases around the world.

One of my major hobbies that I have done since I was a teenager was running. I feel that when you have a healthy mind and take care of yourself, it shows in everything you do and it is that much easier to excel in all aspects of my life. I also enjoy experimenting with baking and cooking recipes that I find on the internet, that to my surprise turns out really good! I recently got into pilates/yoga and feel that it makes a huge impact on posture as well as stretching my body out especially since I study for about 10 hours a day during the semester! Another hobby of mine would be studying and absorbing any information I can get about Chemistry or any of my other classes!
