About (Summary)

I am currently a student who is going for their AS in welding technologies at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, NV. I grew up in the Bay area in California, and I will always consider that place to be my home. I come from a family that is well established in the tech community, and they always thought I would follow them down the same path. After giving it a try, I found out that computers were not my passion. After dabbling in a few trade classes at my community college, I found welding, and that has been my passion that I want to make my career. I always liked working with my hands, and even as a kid, I loved to build things, so I'm not surprised that I took to welding as I did. Currently, I am working fulltime as a logistics specialist in the transportation management department at my work. I am also a backup commercial diver and a handyman when something breaks.

Grad School Interests

After I get my degree from the community college I am attending; I plan to move to the coast of California to attend an underwater welding academy. Upon completing this program, I will have all the certificates I need to become an underwater welder.

I am currently practicing to be a professional welder, and upon completing my degree, I hope to land a job as an underwater welder.
