About (Summary)

I served in the US Army and the US Marine Corps and retired honorably from the Military in August of 2013. I am a combat Veteran of two wars (Desert Storm/Desert Shield and Iraq) and a Disabled Veteran. I presently work for the Department of Vetwrans Affairs at the Wilmington Health Care Center in Wilmington, NC as Certified Peer Support Specialist helping Veterans like myself and their Family members. My intentions are to complete the MSW program and the Substance Abuse certificate program. Once these two goals are complete, I plan to take the LCSW exam and the LCAS exam so I will have the education and licensures necessary to work with Veterans, their Family membets and society as a whole on a personal and professional level.
