Hello, my name is David Rivera, and I am from College Station, Texas. I come from two hard working parents, who I thank dearly for the long lasting impact they've had on my life. Through their love, care, patience, and encouragement, I was able to obtain qualities that have lead to me becoming a successful college student. They have imbedded into my brain the importance of getting a good education, and to always strive to do my absolute best. I am currently taking hours at Blinn Junior College, that will transfer towards a Bachelors degree in Business Administration at Sam Houston State University. In order for a student to be successful, while both inside and outside of the classroom, he or she must consistently maintain the work ethics necessary. Success doesn't occur as a result of luck or a mistake. Which is why persistence, preparation, and sacrifices play a large role in whether or not a student will succeed or fail. My unofficial transcript reads with a 4.0 GPA for the Fall 2016 semester. This occurred as a direct result of the qualities mentioned above. My achievements didn't fail to go unrecognized, as I was able to have been named to Blinn's prestigious presidents scholar list; however, I realize that I cannot allow my previous success to hinder my preparation in the future. I will continue to apply myself, and demand nothing less of perfection.
