The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace is a private, nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C. The Endowment is dedicated to advancing cooperation between nations and promoting active international engagement by the United States. Every year, eight to ten one-year fellowships are offered to uniquely qualified candidates. Carnegie Junior Fellows work as research assistants to the Endowment's senior associates. Fellows receive $2,500 a month and a full benefits package. Eligible candidates must be graduating seniors or have graduated in the past academic year. Individuals who have started graduate studies are not eligible. Applicants must also be eligible to work in the United States for the duration of the fellowship. This fellowship requires a nomination from American University and has a campus deadline of mid-October.
