Hannah Here!

Apr 16,2015

Hi all! I am following suit of the rest of the HonorSociety.org bloggers and introducing myself.  I don’t normally like talking about myself, but I think it’s good to put a face to the writer and get a feel for my personality.  I think it’s most beneficial for me as a writer and you as a reader if we have an open, interpersonal relationship with each other. So let’s start with the basics.

As you can see, my name is Hannah; I am a sophomore at West Virginia University, and I am currently studying strategic communications with a minor in communication studies.  Can you tell I really like communicating?  I’m a talker.  I love telling stories and I really love hearing stories from others.  I think I get most of my inspiration from other people.

I will be posting under the study abroad category.  Study abroad is an experience that I have had before as well as one that I will be having again in the very near future.  I’m spending my summer in London, England.  I’d like to take you guys (and gals) along on my journey as well as address the different topics within study abroad.

Apart from exploring the world, I enjoy going to museums.  No matter where I go, I have to visit a museum; I’ve been to so many art, history, and science museums that I honestly don’t think I could name them all.  I also am a huge (and when I say huge, I mean HUGE) Beatles fan.  I grew up around a family that was in their prime in the sixties, so I’ve grown up with the older rock music.

I have a hectic life and get my hands into a little bit of everything.  I am a simple person; it doesn’t take much to get me excited about a topic, especially if you are excited about it too.  Living an active, sometimes overactive, lifestyle causes me to constantly have a caffeinated beverage on my person.  It’s usually tea, but don’t worry you coffee drinkers reading this, I love myself a good cup of coffee too.

On the more personal level—if I can I get any more personal with this post—I am a makeup junkie.  I hoard different makeups in my apartment and utilize every chance I get to experiment with new makeup. Likewise I also love fashion.  My whole style is basically one big game of dress-up for me.   I’m a large child.

So now that I’ve told you all a little about myself, I think it’s time that you tell me about yourselves.  There’s no comment box here, so I encourage all my readers to email me at [email protected].  Like I said, I benefit most by knowing my readers, so tell me everything you want about yourself.  Tell me about your study abroad experiences so I can feature you in future blog posts.  Tell me what you want to see from my posts.  Let’s start a dialogue; let’s be friends.
