Since the central target of this research will be on the representation of the Baptist to mainly national and project approach level to a certain level of quality in health care, I will need to raise some parameters that serve as conceptual and demonstrative axes plus a detailed history through the years in terms of ethical and professional development of this institution. To begin, we will understand how this hospital arises as well as its most notable features, in the same way I also be presenting their errors and / or adverse events. I primarily collected the data and information presented on this healthcare informative research paper from the Baptist Hospital webpage, newspapers, and Facebook official profile, where I choose some people’s reviews considering them to be added at the end of this paper. The analysis of the composed information was based on the audience. I choose data which the readers would be able to judge that the results and conclusions are valid.

Baptist Hospital of Miami is a non-profit hospital located outside of Miami, Florida, United States, in the unincorporated community of Kendal, operated by Baptist Health South Florida. A not-for-profit organization supported by philanthropy and committed to faith-based charitable mission of medical excellence.

Founded in 1960, the 650-bed facility is now one of the largest hospitals in the Miami area. The Corporate headquarters is located in Coral Gables, Florida, and has facilities throughout Dade County, into the Florida Keys, and in southern Broward County. Baptist Hospital is the largest faith based non-profit organization hospital in the Miami area, handling a volume of over 100,000 patients a year. Thousands of people each year travel to Miami from around the world to visit Baptist Health’s respected physicians and medical facilities.

Baptist Health is recognized by accrediting and rating agencies as a world-class healthcare provider, with top scores for overall surgical care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction. Some of the medical services they provide and that I will be discussing are: Baptist Health Medical Group, Baptist Health Primary Care, Baptist Health Quality Network, Cancer, Heart & Vascular, Neuroscience, Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and Robotic Surgery. The mission of Baptist Health is to improve the health and well-being of individuals, and to promote the sanctity and preservation of life, in the communities they serve. This study will offer a wide knowledge about the healthcare importance and the health quality that a prestigious institution must compromise with their communities.  

Not everything is perfect related with this prestigious hospital. While I was surfing on the internet in search of more information, I found a story about Baptist Children's Hospital.

Kaelyn Sosa, 6, was crippled as a toddler by a medical error. Her mother, Sandy, now helps the hospital protect other patients from such accidents. As often happens after medical accidents, the facility, Baptist Children's Hospital in Miami, settled with the Sosa family for an undisclosed sum. But the hospital went further. Administrators analyzed the chain of events that led to the tragedy. They put in place new measures aimed at preventing the mistakes that injured Kaelyn from recurring and to better respond when something does go wrong. The hospital then engaged the child's parents in educational efforts to underline to medical staff the critical importance of patient safety.

Medical errors kill as many as 98,000 Americans each year, according to the Institute of Medicine, a government advisory group. In an effort to improve this record, some hospitals like Baptist Children's are taking steps to admit grievous mistakes and to learn from them in order to overhaul flawed procedures. In conclusion, it would be good to highlight the acquired knowledge and application of the quality of medical service. On the other hand, a fundamental aspect was the contracted experience in performing an investigative work for which it is include the deep satisfaction that this created me. All this information will allow me to devise a notion of how to play in the labor market and health, in which mode teamwork becomes essential to address the complexity of the new knowledge that will be developed.

In connection with hospitals and vision there are several important factors to analyze. The quality of service plays a key role for those hospitals who want to fix their vision and project its long-term activity. Currently the attribute that contributes to a hospital to get a long and proven track record is the opinion of patients or users of medical services they receive. The vision should be made by the directors of the hospital. They must disclose the same to the different sectors. It is important that employees and professionals work towards that vision, that taken as the main objective of the hospital and give their adherence from each of the roles.

Recommendations: Hiring more specialists, better and more maintenance in all areas of the hospital, hiring more human resources, having a department information or customer service and supply medicines. Provide good customer service in all services. Hospital offers and take advantage of these satisfaction for us recommend new customers and generate greater demand, and there is no better advertisement than a satisfied customer makes. The management to know the staff, there is a department. Marketing and Public Relations, and be given the necessary support so that it can perform its operations efficiently and attention to ensure that they are given to the patient.
